    Deforestation crippling overall health

The ecosystem of the planet is a fragile. All of earths make up works in unison to provide a healthy environment for all to live.

Deforestation threatens to throw off that balance leaving everything on the planet with poorer quality health.

Plants and Animals are the first to feel the effects of deforestation as it causes displacement of species. These species then have to fight for resources to survive so many animals and plants begin the extinction process due to not being able to compete with the changes in the environment such as a higher population of predators in a given area or a complete geographical change that the species are not adapted too.

Three quarters of the earths fresh water come from forested watersheds which are obliterated with deforestation. Half the global population relies on fresh water from watersheds for their drinking water and their agricultural or industrial water. As we clear cut forests we are actively depleting our worlds drinking water!

It is known that the more canopy a forest has will result in more rainfall for the region so as we clear cut forests we are actively reducing the amount of rainfall that region receives until eventually the region has a detrimental effect from deforestation that leaves the region suffering from lack of resources.

Our governments know this information and are still allowing the deforestation of our planet to further there industrial and economic means! It is time we enact legislation forcing our governments to do what is right for the planet and its species!
