I grew up watching commercials of the impoverished and hungry in Africa. As I got older I came to realize much of Africa is industrialized and the whole nation isn't starving.
As Americas Economy declined throughout the 2000s it became apparent to me that Hunger was now a serious issue on the home front in America as well as throughout the world in every facet of society.
In the year 2017 an estimated 15 million homes were food insecure and 40 million Americans went Hungry. 59.2 million Europeans went hungry and 500 million Asains went hungry!
It is a known fact that children who experience food insecurity are more likely to develop asthma, anxiety, depression, and poor school performance.
Lack of edible food is a serious issue around the world and many countries including America through away tons of food. Literally (thousands of pounds a year) of food thrown in the trash!
Countries have begun the process of outsourcing food to those in need before it expires but hunger still remains a global epidemic!
Enacting Legislature is the best way to combat these fatal epidemics but it will take a unified force to persuade governments to take action!
